It is easy to find the best, a place where the staff are dressed in their beautiful folk costumes, where log-fires are burning and where the smell of juniper twigs or fresh birch leaves fill the air. Broad floorboards and solid tables that are loaded with food. This is what You will find around Lake Siljan, in Summer of course, but even more around Christmas and New Year. Also try to have a picnic, in Winter in the snow, or in Summer in the grass. Buy some of the high-class local products. Thin unleavened bread, whey-butter. Cowberry-juice in big glass bottles, ham and egg. Hot coffee from the thermos. Waffles and some whipped cream. In the Siljan area we enjoy our meals both out-doors and in-doors!
